Dr. Rebecca Marr

Dr. Marr graduated in 2002 from The Ohio State University with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree and thereafter, moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia to start her small animal career. In 2019, she moved to the Williamsburg, Virginia area with her husband, 2 dogs, and cat. She has experience in corporate, private, and emergency animal hospitals as well as some consulting and training with the military. She enjoys all aspects of practice to include surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, dermatology, senior care, and pain management. This has led her to further her education in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine to offer more tools and therapies to help manage her patients. She has spent her time getting the following certifications from Chi University in Reddick, Florida: Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA), Certified Veterinary Chinese Herbalist (CVCH), Certified Veterinary Balanced Method Acupuncturist (CVBMA), Certified Veterinary Food Therapist (CVFT), and Certified TCVM Palliative and End-of-Life Practitioner (CTPEP).

About Us

Destinie Faber

Destinie has been a part of the veterinary community for more than 7 years, serving as a veterinary assistant and receptionist. She began her journey with Point of Relief Veterinary Services 3 years ago, where she manages phone calls, emails, client text messages, and appointment requests. Additionally, she administers Cold Laser therapy to patients and provides support during acupuncture sessions by offering encouragement and treats. Destinie is married and has 2 children, with one more on the way. Throughout her life, she has cared for cats, dogs, guinea pigs, and many other animals, showcasing her passion for the veterinary profession.

Leslie Maidment

Leslie has had a long time passion for animals starting with her role as an assistant for a veterinary house call practice. She also has trained her own dogs for therapy dog work and has volunteered with them at Paws for Reading at the James City County Library and at Sentara. She began bringing her dogs for acupuncture treatments but then quickly fell into the role of assisting during Destinie's maternity leave and has worked into the role of a part-time assistant for Point of Relief Veterinary Services. She also has been a long time pet sitter in the area when not busy with her job as a Pharmacy Technician at Sentara Hospital.

Our Location

We are a mobile service that currently see appointments utilizing an exam room at Coastal Animal Referral Emergency on Tuesdays and Fridays located at 5295 John Tyler Hwy. We also can facilitate house call appointments in the Williamsburg area on a case by case basis.
